We’re going to explore the new SMTP credential feature for LC email dedicated domains in HighLevel. This update allows seamless integration with warm-up services, significantly increasing your email volume and enhancing deliverability.
Navigating to SMTP Settings
To begin, navigate to the Settings section at the bottom left of your HighLevel dashboard. Select Email Service, and you’ll see your Lead Connector email system appear. Click on Dedicated Domain and IP to view your dedicated domain. If you haven’t set it up yet, follow the next steps to add and verify your domain.
Adding and Verifying a New Domain
Click on Add Domain, fill in your domain details, and click Add. You’ll need to verify the domain by creating the necessary NS settings in your domain service provider. Once verified, return to this section, and your dedicated domain will be displayed.
Creating SMTP Credentials
To create SMTP credentials, click on the three dots next to your dedicated domain and select SMTP Settings. Click the plus icon to add a new SMTP user. For example, you can create a user named “support” and set a password. This password is essential for connecting your SMTP to any external third-party services, such as warm-up services, which help ensure your emails do not land in spam. After entering the details, click Create. Your SMTP credentials will be added successfully.
Managing SMTP Credentials
If you need to delete SMTP credentials, simply click on the three dots, select Delete, and confirm your action. To reset the password, click Reset Password, enter and re-enter the new password, and hit Reset Password.
Setting Up Emails for Team Members
For teams with multiple members, you can set up individual email addresses for each person. For instance, if a team member named Maria needs an email, create her email address and add her to the system. Now, emails sent to Maria@yourdomain.com will directly land in the conversations tab, even if no prior email was sent from that address.
New Feature: Direct Email Reception
With this update, any email sent directly to your team’s designated email addresses (e.g., support@yourdomain.com or maria@yourdomain.com) will appear immediately in the conversations tab. This eliminates the need for an initial outgoing email, streamlining communication.
Conclusion and Next Steps
The new SMTP credential feature for LC email dedicated domains in HighLevel is a powerful tool to optimize your email deliverability and integrate with warm-up services. Set up your domains, manage your credentials, and ensure each team member has their own dedicated email address for seamless communication. Stay tuned for more updates and tips!
